Very Few Visitors, No Big Surpise!

Well Team, my website hits have suddenly plummeted over the last few weeks.  I’m lucky if my 15 sites get 20 new visitors a day in total.  I haven’t done much in SEO and that’s the reason why my sites are not being found in the search engines.  But lets face it, do a search on sporting goods, office supplies, music, and you will come up with thousands of hits of which none include my bigtime websites.

I guess I’m going to have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to Google, and other search engines, to get a decent ranking.  I’ll keep you posted on how this works out.

Reciprocal Links..Do They Work?

Hi folks,

Well, I’m trying out reciprocal links on my books, sports, and toys bigtime sites to see if they will drive more traffic to my sites.  If they work out for me I’ll probably add reciprocal links to all my sites.  I’ll know more in a month or so.

How reciprocal links work.

It’s basically pretty easy stuff.  I put a link on my site to another site and they put a link to my site on theirs.  I am making sure that the content of their site is similar to mine.  In another words, if I’m putting a reciprocal links on my booksbigtime site I make sure the website I’m linking to has something to do with books.

Anyone want to share their experience with reciprocal links?

Like everyone I’m learning as I go and appreciate your feedback.  I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

Making Money While I Sleep!

Yes, it is possible to make money while you sleep. Why just look at last night. I went to bed at around 10:30 pm, got up this morning at 6:00 am (even though it’s Saturday) and low and behold, I made money while I was sleeping. How much money one may ask? Let’s just say enough so that I can eat for another day. Ok, for 15 websites this isn’t much but it sure is a start.  Stay tuned and read my blog a year from now. Who knows what may evolve.

This stuff is fun big time. The other day someone called and left a message on my cell phone. They represented an Internet company and they wanted to inform me that my http://www.electronicsbigtime.com site is not optimized for the major search engines. Hmmm, maybe that’s because I’ve been spending 95% of my free time (yes, I have a 50 hours a week day time job) building the websites and adding content. I’ve spent maybe 5% of my time trying to optimize my sites for search engines. Now that I have my sites up and running I plan to reverse my time allocation to 95% at driving traffic to my sites and 5% to maintaining my sites.

Any suggestions?

The Real Big Time Deal!

Hi, let me introduce myself.  My name is Joel and I’m the one who created all of the (whatever) Big Time sites.  Why?  The first reason is because, like most, I could use a little extra income.  Secondly, I love the Internet and all the opportunities it provides for making money while still having fun.

I absolutely love tinkering on the Internet and will continue to do so as my hobby.
